NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament Bracket 

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College volleyball team will be making the program's tenth straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament which opens play on Thursday, November 13th.

Under the guidance of first-year head coach Bob Roscoe, the Bears captured their tenth straight MASCAC Tournament title on Saturday to earn the conference's automatic qualifier. BSC (12-23) is seeded seventh in the New England Regional and will take on second seeded Tufts University (28-3) on Thursday at 8:30 PM.

Sophomore outside hitter Julie Clerc (Acushnet, MA), the MASCAC Player of the Year, ranks second in the MASCAC in kills per game (3.05) and sixth in aces per game (0.51).  Clerc captured conference player of the week honors twice this season.

Sophomore setter Natalie Cohen (Marstons Mills, MA), the reigning MASCAC Player of the Week, currently leads the conference in assists with 893.  Her player of the week honor was also her second this season.

Junior outside hitter Alyssa Grimes (Acushnet, MA) and junior libero Brianne Cobb (New Bedford, MA) also rank among the MASCAC statistical leaders.  Grimes is presently sixth in hitting percentage (.213) and kills per game (2.14), while Cobb ranks sixth in digs with with 3.70 per game.

Bridgewater finished 5-1 in the MASCAC standings as the Bears tied for first place along with Westfield State College. Seeded first at the conference tournament, BSC knocked off fourth seeded Worcester State, 3-0, in the semifinal before capturing the tournament title with a 3-0 win over second seeded Westfield.
