Colleen Feeney Earns Belated ECAC Player of the Week Honor

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College senior center Colleen Feeney picked up her second ECAC Player of the Week honor of the season as she was belatedly selected the Division III New England Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 9th.

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Feeney sparked the Bears to a perfect 2-0 mark during the week ending February 9th as she averaged 25.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots in MASCAC wins over Westfield State and Framingham State.

Feeney poured in 27 points, pulled down 19 rebounds and blocked 3 shots in BSC's 58-47 victory at home over Westfield.  She then posted her second double-double of the week and 18th of the season as she scored 24 points (on 8 of 11 shooting) to go along with 11 boards in the Bears' 71-43 win on the road at Framingham.

The ECAC did not release the player of the week award winners for that the week ending February 9th until just recently.  No specific reason was given for the delay in announcing the weekly award winners.
