Three Men's Tennis Players Garner All-Little East Honors

2009 Little East Men's Tennis All-Conference Team
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College sophomores Justin Lipomi (Lowell, MA) and David Campbell (Vineyard Haven, MA) along with freshman Mike Zagame (Uxbridge, MA) have been named to the 2009 Little East Men's Tennis All-Conference Team.
All three student-athletes were named to the All-Little East Team as singles players. Campbell and Lipomi garnered first team honors, while Zagame was selected to the second team.
Lipomi was named to the team out of the fourth flight. He finished 8-9 on the season in singles play including a 4-2 regular season mark against conference opponents.
Campbell posted a 9-1 record competing mostly out of the sixth flight singles position. He was also a perfect 6-0 in Little East play.
Zagame went 10-7 for the Bears as he earned second team honors out of the fifth flight. He went 4-1 during the regular season in Little East competition.
Bridgewater State finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 11-7. The Bears finished the regular season third in the Little East standings with a 4-2 conference mark.
Seeded third at the Little East Tournament, BSC posted a 5-1 first round victory over UMass Boston before falling to eventual champions UMass Dartmouth, 5-2, in the semifinals.
