Bridgewater State Swim Teams Fall to Keene State College

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Babson College swimming and diving teams wrapped up their regular season competition in fine fashion on Thursday night, as the Beavers swept a dual meet with visiting Bridgewater State College. The Babson women defeated the Bears, 120-107, while the men prevailed, 121-74.
On the women's side, Babson won eight of 13 events, including two victories apiece by junior Meg Lynch (Holden, Mass.) in the 200 free and 50 back and junior Erica Salisbury (Middletown, Conn.) in the 100 free and 100 IM. Also posting wins for the Beavers were first-year Adrianne Siu (San Jose, Calif.) in the 1000 free, junior Lynn Root (Issaquah, Wash.) in the 50 fly, and senior Rachael Bishop (Flushing, N.Y.) in the 50 breast. The 400 medley relay team of Salisbury, Bishop, Lynch, and junior Skye Hendrix also finished first.
The Babson men won 11 of the 13 events in their half of the meet. Four Beavers posted multiple wins, including senior captain Mike Stenman (Windsor, Conn.) in the 200 free and 50 breast, sophomore Philippe Noelting (Toronto, Ontario) in the 50 free and 50 fly, sophomore Jaime Acosta (Puerto Rico) in the 50 back and 100 IM, and first-year Aaron Paradis (Norwich, Conn.) in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions. Senior Luis Santiago-Gonzalez (Ithaca, N.Y.) added a first-place performance in the 1000 free, while the 200 free and 400 medley relay teams also won.
Bridgewater State received two wins apiece from sophomore Jillian Coache (New Bedford, Mass.) and junior diver Jennifer Jackson (Randolph, Mass.) on the women's side, as well as individual victories from senior Frank Freel (Leominster, Mass.) and junior Alex Mulcahy (Natick, Mass.) on the men's side. Jackson swept the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions for the tenth consecutive meet as she posted scores of 220.30 on the one-meter board and 246.95 on the three-meter.
