Our Students Graduate and Find Jobs
Of course continuing your college basketball career is an important factor in choosing a college, but earning your Bachelor�s Degree has to have an equal importance. You need to ask yourself what opportunities your degree will open up for you. Well, once you earn your degree from Bridgewater State College you will quickly experience success in the �real world�. A 2003 survey found that 90% of Bridgewater's graduates were working six to twelve months after graduation, a majority of which found jobs associated to their chosen field of study.
"The story that has consistently been told in this report . . . is that although the economy is not doing well, our graduates are doing well and most of them are happily employed in jobs related to their majors," said Brian M. Salvaggio, former director of Career Services and acting associate dean of student affairs. Survey respondents also indicated that their academic training at Bridgewater State College prepared them for their current position.

Alumni of the basketball program share in that overall success of Bridgewater State College graduates, sometimes exceeding it. Here is a small list of success stories of our players.
Jim Dolan, is the Head Coach for the Weymouth High School Boy's Basketball team.
Harry Grabert, who is originally from Boston College High School and the 2001 � 2002 conference player of the year during his senior season at Bridgewater, has previously been a personal strength coach and now is a Police Officer.
Derek Saves, also a 2002 grad and member of the 1,000 points scored club, has already become the owner and operator of 7 Subway sandwich shop franchises in Southeastern Massachusetts.
Mark Gonsalves, finished his career at Bridgewater in 1999 as the all-time leading scorer in the College�s history. He is now a Fire Fighter for the city of New Bedford.
Ryan Anderson, is the Assistant Superintendent of the Harmon Golf and Fitness Club in Rockland.
Some of our more recent successes include Mike Rondeau, a 2005 graduate with a degree in business, is currently a manager for Walgreens in Brockton.
Cliff Furtado, a 2006 graduate and member of our MASCAC Championship team last season, is in his first year as a teacher.
