            School of Business

As of January 1, 2006, Bridgewater State College has its own  School of Business . The naming of the  School of  Business  as its own school within the College reflects the growing popularity and quality of a Business education at BSC.

The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) accredits us.   Bridgewater is among only 171 colleges and universities in  America and around the world to receive IACBE accreditation. Other top business schools in the area, like Bentley and Babson are not accredited by the IACBE.

"This accreditation is a very significant step for the School of  Business and its programs because it lends legitimacy to the degrees we offer and recognizes the talent, scholarship and teaching skill of our faculty," said Dr. Laurence Richards, dean of the school. He went on to say, "With the granting of the accreditation, our students are assured that the high quality of our academic programs has been verified by a team of external and independent professional evaluators."

This accreditation significantly enhances the credentials of the students who graduate, making them more attractive to employers and graduate schools.  With more than 1,600 undergraduates, the departments that make up the School of Business - Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, and Aviation Science - is the one of the largest areas if study offered by Bridgewater State College.

In addition, Bridgewater State College also offers a five-year program that will allow you to earn both your Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree with only one additional year of study.
