NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.--- Four Bridgewater State College field hockey student athletes have been named to the Little East Conference’s inaugural All-Academic Team for the fall 2007 season. BSC tied for the fourth most team members with Eastern Connecticut, UMass Dartmouth and Southern Maine while Keene State led the way with 10 athletes who were honored.

Interested in playing field hockey this summer? The Bridgewater State Field Hockey program will be running a summer 6 week league starting the week of June 24th. Play will be Tuesday nights for Varsity league, Wednesday nights for Masters (women’s) league, and Thursday nights for Junior Varsity league. The cost is $45.00 per player.

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Senior goalkeeper Nicole Downs (pictured) registered four saves, and fellow senior Katie Balboni notched the game-winning goal, sparking second seeded Bridgewater State College to a 1-0 victory over fifth seeded St. Joseph's in the championship game of the 2007 ECAC Division III Field Hockey Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
