Former BSC Football Standout Named Miami Dolphins Scouting Assistant

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Former Bridgewater State College football standout, Adam Howe, has been named as a Scouting Assistant for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).
A 2006 graduate of Bridgewater State where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Howe played four seasons for the Bears in the defensive backfield from 2000 to 2005. As a freshman in 2000, he helped BSC capture the New England Football Conference (NEFC) title and advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The Bridgewater State football team posted a record of 28-11 during the four seasons that Adam played including a 9-1 mark in 2005 when the Bears captured the ECAC Northeast Bowl title with a 34-17 victory over Fitchburg State College.
A native of Raynham, Massachusetts, Howe is currently second all-time at BSC in interceptions with 14. He set a career high with seven picks during his senior season of 2005. All told, he recorded 141 tackles in 39 career games as well as 31 passes defended.
Howe earned All-NEFC Honorable Mention honors as a senior in 2005 and was also named the recipient of the Bridgewater State College Lee Harrington Unsung Hero Award.
After his collegiate playing days, Howe went on to serve as a graduate assistant on the Maine Maritime Academy football coaching staff in 2006. He then returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in 2007 before moving on to Springfield College as a graduate assistant this past season.
In his scouting role with the Dolphins, Howe will monitor personnel moves throughout the NFL, evaluate college and professional players, and manage player databases. He will also perform advance scouting, manage league-wide depth charts and coordinate player workouts.
