Steve Smith Tabbed for MASCAC Player of the Year Honors

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. --- Bridgewater State College senior left fielder Steve Smith has been selected as this year’s Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Year. Smith and classmate Martin Anderson were named to the All-MASCAC First Team in voting by conference baseball coaches as announced by league commissioner Angela Baumann.

Baseball Bears Bow to Westfield State, 5-2

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Justin Parr (North Attleboro) was 3 for 4 with a double and three RBI, and Jeff Fields (Pittsfield) pitched seven strong innings to lead Westfield State to a 5-2 victory over Bridgewater State in the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference (MASCAC) Tournament.

Baseball Knocks Off Salem State in MASCAC Tournament

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Senior center fielder J.T. Mooney (North Attleboro) was 3 for 5 with a double, homer and three RBI, and senior pitcher Martin Anderson (Meriden, Conn.) threw a complete game to power Bridgewater State to a 9-3 victory over Salem State in the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference tournament.
