Our Philosophy/Program Objectives:
At Bridgewater State College we are committed to create a
fun, safe and positive athletic environment. The
Football Institute is designed to teach each player the
fundamentals of football, while focusing on teamwork. We will also
work on strength & conditioning and cover the importance of
year -round training.

Camp Directors:
Charles Denune
Head Football Coach
Bridgewater State College
Coach Denune is entering his third season as the Bears head coach
as he is just the fourth head coach for the football program at BSC
since it was reinstituted in 1960. Coach Denune is a 1998
graduate of Heidelberg College in Ohio where he earned a degree in
Health and Physical Education.
In his two seasons as the Bears skipper, Coach Denune has directed his teams to a 17-3 record as well as two ECAC Bowl championships. In 2005, Bridgewater finished with a 9-1 record and captured the ECAC Northeast Bowl title with a 34-17 win over Fitchburg State. Last season, BSC went 8-2 and won the ECAC North Atlantic Bowl with a convincing 41-22 victory over Coast Guard.
Chuck is a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has served as a clinician and assisted in the organization of camps and clinics at Bridgewater State, Boston College, Slippery Rock and the Frank Glaizer Clinics.
Doug Borsari
Assistant Camp Director/Assistant Football Coach
Bridgewater State Collge
Coach Borsari is entering his third season on the football
coaching staff in 2008. A native of Kingston, Massachusetts
and a graduate of Plymouth North High School, Doug was a standout
performer on the gridiron at Bridgewater State for four seasons
from 2001 to 2005. He registered 135 tackles (86 solo)
playing in over 30 games at linebacker. Doug also recorded 10
tackles for loss as well as 10 pass breakups and a pair of
interceptions. In his junior season of 2004, he earned First
Team All-New England Football Conference (NEFC) honors, and
followed that up with a second team selection in 2005.
Doug, who is presently the assistant equipment manager in the BSC Athletics Department, just recently interned for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers focusing on personnel development and film breakdown.
Physical Examination / Immunizations Records
All participants must provide our office with records
from their doctors office physical examinations within the past 12
months. Most doctors offices have their own forms. Please
have their office provide you with these documents, or have them
fax our office these records.
Attendance Policy
-At the beginning of each day attendance will be
taken.
-If a participant is absent, and our program director has
not been notified, we will
contact
parents through cell phone.
-If your participant will not be coming in, please notify
our office as soon as possible.
-EARLY PICK UP- all campers will be released to their pick up
person, from our program site.
-Participants will be released only to those designated by
their guardians, in writing, before the first day of
the program.
Payment Policy
There is a Non-refundable deposit of $50
per program session. All withdrawals or cancellations must be
made in writing and recieved prior to the first day of the program.
Applications recieved after July 13th must be paid in full. Balance
of payment must be recieved by the first program day.
All fees must be made out in the form of checks, money order, or cash. Please make out checks to Bridgewater State College Athletics.
