LIFEGUARD & SWIM INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS

Bridgewater State College is seeking experienced lifeguards and swim instructors to fulfill staffing needs for our summer camps and town recreational programs. 

Lifeguard:    

Maintains a safe swim environment for pool users and staff through enforcement of health and safety rules during scheduled swims.  Attends required meetings and training, performs cleaning tasks as assigned. 

Requirements: 

* Current ARC Lifeguard Training Certificate

* Current ARC First-Aid, CPR, and AED Certificate

* Lifeguarding experience preferred.

Swim Instructor:

Teaches swim lessons, monitors locker rooms as needed, lifeguards if certified (see above). 

Requirements:

* Excellent swimming skills.

* Ability to work with and teach small children.

* Lifeguard Training Certificates preferred.

* ARC Water Safety Instructor preferred.

Head Lifeguard:

Supervises programs and staff, performs lifeguard duties as needed, teaches as needed, assists with staff scheduling and training, performs cleaning duties as assigned.  Requirements:

* Lifeguard Training required, teaching experience a plus.

* Ability to work with and manage a diverse staff.

* Minimum 3 years of lifeguard experience and 3 years teaching experience.

* Must be 18 years of age or older.
