Dan Rezendes has been the Director of the Thornburg Fitness Center since the facility opened in the fall of 2002. Previously, Dan had directed fitness programs at Northeastern University (1999-2002) and the Old Colony YMCA (1989-1999). He has also taught group rowing classes and led certifications since Concept 2 launched the program in 1998. Dan is a 1990 graduate of BSC (B.S. Physical Education/ Exercise Science) and a 2004 graduate of the University of New Haven (M.S. Human Nutrition).
Currently Dan helps in the training of BSC's athletes and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). In the last few years, Dan has played a leadership role in the planning and development of the Great Hill Trails on-campus.
Dan has competed extensively in racquetball, handball, road racing, bicycling, decathlon, and rowing. His interests include bicycle touring, endurance sports, motorcycles, hiking, and auto racing.

Chuck graduated from Heidelberg College in the spring of 1998, earning a Bachelors degree in Physical Education. Since that time he has imbedded himself at Bridgewater State College. Chuck worked as a graduate assistant here at BSC from 1998-2000; earning his MS in Exercise Science and CSCS Certification. In 2002, Chuck was named Assistant Director of Fitness for BSC. Besides working with Dan Rezendes on the day to day operations of the fitness center, chuck is responsible for overseeing group fitness classes, the Kelly Weight room, helping to develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for varsity athletic teams.
In 2005, Chuck was named the new Head Football Coach of the Bears after 8 years as an assistant. In his first two years at the helm the Bears have enjoyed a 17-3 win to lose ratio, while winning back-to-back ECAC Championships. Chuck currently resides in Bridgewater with his wife Gina, son Logan, and daughter Zoe.

New Aquatics Director John Pringle comes to our staff from Snohomish, Washington. There, he was the Aquatics Supervisor for the Snohomish School District and the Head Coach of the Snohomish High School Girl's Swim team for 17 years. He also coached the Snohomish High School boy's team for 11 years.
John has a combined total of 26 years experience in aquatics, nineteen of which were as a supervisor or manager. John's girl's swim teams produced a dual meet record of 135 and 39 while competing against the toughest competition in the state of Washington. Those teams also earned 11 league and regional championships and also won three Washington State 4A Championships.
John holds certifications as an instructor in Lifeguard Training, First-Aid, CPR and AED. He also brings a "Swim America" Program Director's Certificate from the America Swim Coaches Association with him to Bridgewater. This learn-to-swim program will be critical in augmenting BSC's aquatics program.
John holds a Master's (MS) Degree in athletic administration from Central Washington University, and a Bachelors degree (B.A. Ed.) in biology and physical education, also from Central Washington. He was a three year letter-winner in swimming at Central and a member of two NAIA National Champion teams. He is married and has four children.

Adams, graduated Stonehill College in 1996 with a degree in Communications. Played Soccer for three years and was team Captain and peer mentor his senior year. Brendan, received his Master Degree from Springfield College in 2001 with a concentration in Athletic Administration. While at Springfield, interned in the Athletic Departments at Western New England College and Yale University.
At BSC, Brendan is currently the Night and Weekend Facilities Manager in the Adrian Tinsley Center, Men's Soccer Coach and teaches activity classes in the Movement Arts Department. A native of Sherborn, Massachusetts, currently lives in Bridgewater.

Karleen worked as a typesetter at the Quincy Shipyard until it closed in 1985. Then worked as a private contractor at Polaroid Corp in Cambridge for five years before joining BSC in 1998 and transferred to Athletics when the Tinsley Center opened in 1994.
